The importance of interoperability will continue to grow as one of the major drivers of this has been the formation of accountable care organizations (ACO’s).
Electronic health records have a large potential to support nursing and advanced nursing knowledge through the elimination of redundant efforts, redesign of the workflow, demonstrating the contributions that nurses make to patient care and outcomes as well as contributing to the body of nursing knowledge through the incorporation of standardized nursing language.

The patient presents to your office with a Personal Health Records (PHR). Remembering, medical records and PHRs are not the same thing, complete both of the following:
