An Prosecutor has various roles in American courts which include; Advising and assisting the society or a community in solving criminal cases as well as in address issues leading to illegal activities. The prosecutor applies the knowledge and ethics in criminology in solving problems in a just and fair manner. Prosecutor carries out professional duties in court in providing evidence about a suspect from an investigation carried out together with a clear indication in proving the suspect guilty.
Filling of records and preserving them for a referral is a role played by prosecutors. Papers about a case, objectives of an investigation, pieces of evidence, as well as information about a suspect, for easy retrieval and professionalism. Prosecutors in America fight for the rights of the public and not in support of the government or law enforcers. The prosecutor has legal protection against the malicious verdicts whereby the prosecutor is supposed to have enough resources and funds from the firm in carrying out an investigation and training offered.Therefore the prosecutor was covered by the court.
According to Glenn Ford’s case, I believe justice should be rendered to the family through compensation. The prosecutor holding the situation should be fined, suspended, and professional training presented. A death sentence is a severe charge rendered when there are no full proof and proper time taken in carrying out an investigation.
Prosecutors assist the law enforcers in carrying out investigations for particular cases. Ethics and conducts during the process are followed, for public interest and maintenance of justice. Decision making is affected by various reasons; for instance, availability of resources in the office, Pressure from the court to work according to the court’s limits as well as internal rules and policies governing the office.
