Here are the actions I would take in response to the attorney’s request:

Confirm my client’s consent: Before sharing any information with the attorney, I would need to confirm that my client has given written consent to release their information to a third party. If my client has not given written consent, I cannot release any information without a subpoena or court order.

Review HIPAA regulations: I would review the relevant HIPAA regulations to ensure that any disclosure of information is in compliance with the law.
