Reflection on Community Health Nursing Practice
Reflection as an educational strategy has been extensively studied, especially in recent years. Various scholars agree that, even though reflection is not a new concept in education, only recently has IT been recognized as a cornerstone of professional nursing practice.
Self-reflection, also called introspection, is a means to observe and analyze oneself in order to grow as a person. That growth is the reason why it is so important to spend time in personal reflection. By understanding who you are now, who you would like to become, as a professional nurse, will help you identify the steps you need to take on that journey.
