Please Note:

Essays should be double-spaced in Times New Roman,
12-point font.

You are not required to use secondary sources for
Assignment 1; however, if you decide to do so, you must use MLA documentation
style. Twoliterary secondary sources are required for Assignment 2, but
please do not use Internet sources, other than Oxford English Dictionary (OED),Online
or e-journals.

Essays must be presented in MLA Format, including
aWorks Cited page (for Essay 2, and for Essay 1 if you use secondary sources).
A student’s failure to use this format correctly, or to ignore it, will result
in the essay’s being penalized up to a maximum of a five marks.

Please do not submit your essay in a folder. Title
pages are optional.

and the assignment being given an ‘F’ grade.

Essays

Secretariat of the English Department will not accept papers, either by hand,
fax, or e-mail.
