Explaining ConceptsRecall a situation when you tried to explain a concept to othersThe experience may have been memorable because you were trying to explain something you cared about or because you had a hard time getting your audience to understand. Call to mind the situation, what you were trying to explain, why it was important, and what difficulties, if any, you were able to anticipate. What explanation strategies did you use? For instance, did you think of examples to make your explanation more understandable or did you compare your subject to something more familiar? Hook your reader’s interest in your concept and keep it.  2. Your purpose is to explain the concept to your readers. You are not writing an argument but you are making a point about your concept. Have your point clearly in mind.3. Define the concept: what is it? what do you think it is? how has the concept changed over time? 4. Illustrate the concept:  Use narratives.  Use descriptions.  Show us the concept in action5. Gather judgments or understandings of the concept from professionals,ordinary people,yourself.  6. Conclusion: Now you can move from the specific to the general. Explain the significance of your concept in the lives of ordinary people. Do not write a summary conclusion.Your initial post should be at least 250 words in length. Support your claims with examples from required material(s) and/or other scholarly resources, and properly cite any references.
