Explain the role of leadership in the policy development, implementation, and management process.  What should a good leader do in regards to IT policies?  What are some of the negative affects when leadership is absent?
Explain similarities and differences between a flat organizational structure and a hierarchical organizational structure.  How does this affect IT Policies?
Explain how user apathy (including managerial apathy) affects policy implementation. Provide steps for overcoming the effects of apathy to policies.
Explain the important of executive and human resources support for IT policy implementation.  Provide an example of positive or negative executive support.
Describe the use of a change model in implementing policies. What are the key tasks within a change model and how does it relate to IT Policy implementation?
Define the policy communication’s plan and explain its importance.  Provide an example of a policy communications plan.
List and define 2-3 organizational challenges associated with policy implementation. What are they? How do they occur? How can they be overcome?
Discuss two technical hindrances to policy implementation.  What are they and how can they be overcome?
Discuss two non-technical hindrances to policy implementation.  What are they and how can they be overcome?
The book only briefly discusses policy exceptions and waivers.  Explain why exceptions create risks for the individual and organization.  Include a process for handling exceptions and the approval process for exceptions.
